Kerala Police’s new Covid-19 awareness video goes viral on social media

April 29, 2021:      Kerala Police has released a new awareness video on the spread of Covid-19 in the state. The awareness dance video has been made in the form of a parody of the recent superhit Tamil song, Enjoy Enjaami.

Nine uniformed police personnel are seen dancing to the 1.30-minute video. The lyrics of the song are about raising awareness such as wearing a mask properly, maintaining social distance and using hand sanitiser. The awareness video also emphasises that everyone should be vaccinated as part of the Covid-19 prevention drive.

The video has been shared on the social media handles of State Police Media Center Kerala with the title ’Let’s fight the pandemic together, Kerala Police is always with you’.

 

 

The video has already received more than 3 lakh views, 9,000 shares and 15,000 likes.

KERALA POLICE’S HAND WASH DANCE WAS A MASSIVE HIT

This is not the first time that a Covid awareness video created by the Kerala Police has gone viral. Back in March 2020, Kerala Police’s ‘Hand wash dance’ also received massive attention. Six Kerala Police personnel, in full uniform and wearing masks danced to the Kalakatha song from the hit Malayalam film Ayyappanum Koshiyum.

In that video, police officers educated the public about the safe method of washing hands as prescribed by the World Health Organisation.

Police Media Center Deputy Director VP Pramod Kumar has directed the new awareness video. Hemant R Nair, Shifin C Raj and Rajeev CP are the cameramen. Lyrics have been penned by Aditya S Nair and Rajesh Lal Vamsha. Nahoom Abraham and Nila Joseph are the singers.
