Suratkal witnesses another stabbing incident

Suratkal, Feb 16: Another stabbing incident was reported in Suratkal on Monday as soon as the prohibitory orders were relaxed. 

The victim is Sandeep, who resides in Krishnapura. He was riding his motorbike near KREC when some unknown assailants, also on motorbikes, attacked him. Sandeep has sustained multiple injuries; and right now, he is recuperating in a private hospital. The Suratkal police have registered a case. 

The police had imposed Section 144 on Suratkal in the wake of certain violent incidents of communal nature. Now, this incident has created tension in the area once again. As a result, the police have tightened security in and around Suratkal.
