SDPI demands Bommai’s resignation

Udupi, Jan 25, 2020:  SDPI Udupi President Asif Koteshwara has demanded the resignation of Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai for making ‘’irresponsible’’ statements during the bomb scare at Mangalore International Airport (MIA).

Asif accused the home minister of behaving irresponsibly and against the decorum of his position. He suspected that the reaction of media and police would have been different if the suspect, who planted bomb, belonged to Muslim community.

Media is diluting the seriousness of bomb scare incident after realising that it was a non-Muslim who had planted the bomb at Mangalore airport, he charged. Asif urged government to investigate the conspiracy and the involvement of kingpins who provoked Adithya to plant the bomb at MIA, he added.
