NMPT to hold Major Port Chess and Carrom tournament

Mangalore, Feb 10: The New Mangalore Port  Sports Council is organising 19th All-India Major Ports Chess & 12th All-India Major Ports Carrom Tournament - 2010 from 10th to 12th February – 2010,  at NMPT Training Centre, Panambur.  Major Ports of  Chennai, Mumbai, Vizag, Goa,Kandla, Paradip, JNPT,  Ennore and  host Port - New Mangalore Port Trust  are participating In this Tournament There are many National Players expected to participate in the Tournament.


Dr. Sandeep Sancheti, Director, NITK, Surathkal, the Chief Guest of the  Inaugural Function will inaugurate the Matches on 10th February 2010  at 9.00 A.M.  at NMPT Training Centre and  P Tamilvanan, Chairman, NMPT and Chairman, Major Ports Sports Control Board will grace the occasion and C.Harichandran, Secretary, NMPT and President of NMPT Sports Council will preside over the function.


The Valedictory Function will be held On 12th February 2010 at 5.00 p.m. at NMPT Training Centre & P.Tamilvanan, Chairman , NMPT & Chairman, MPSCB, will be the Chief Guest of  the Valedictory Function and Maheshwari Tamilvanan, President, NMP Mahila Samaj will be the Guest Of honour and distribute the prizes and Shri C. Harichandran, Secretary, NMPT & President NMPT Sports Council will preside over the Function.
