Mangalore Feb 8: Mangalore bar association has warned to stage a protest against police if the police department fails to trace the missing lawyer Preetham, with in a week.


The incident took place on January 24, at 8.30 Pm, a phone call dragged Preetham outside his residence in Derebail after which he is missing. A complaint in this regard has been lodged with the Kavoor police station. It has been three week since then, police neither found any clue nor did they trace the missing person.


In a press meet held at the press club of Mangalore, S.P Chengappa, president of Mangalore Bar Association, alleged about the lethargy of police department in discharging their duties. He stated that, the police always catches innocents and fixes in a fake case. But the criminals are not traced and interrogated. If certain action is not taken with in a week a protest will be conducted by the lawyers of bar association in the city, he warned.


Ishwar Kottari, and H.V Raghavendra, General Secretary and Treasurer, of the Mangalore Bar Association respectively, were present at the press on the meet.
