Man arrested on rape charge

Mangaluru, Oct 26, 2016: The Uppinangady police arrested 31-year-old Ravi for allegedly raping a seven-year-old girl at a secluded place at Nekkilady near Uppinangady on Tuesday.

The Uppinangady police said that Ravi took the girl to the secluded place on the pretext of showing her a monitor lizard. The girl reported the incident to her parents, who filed a complaint with the police. The police have arrested him for the offence under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
