Indefinite private bus strike from Jan 5 in Kasargod

Kasargod, Jan 4: Private bus owners have decided to go on an indefinite strike in Kerala from Jan 5. They are demanding an increase in bus fare as well as certain changes in the fee concession structure for students. 

A J Sebastian, the president of the Bus Operators Coordination Committee, said that the bus owners had decided to go on strike from Dec 1; but the transport minister had given them some assurances, owing to which the strike was postponed to Jan 5. 

The KSRTC employees will also go on strike from Jan 5 under the leadership of the TDF. They have demands such as increase of DA, distribution of uniforms, prevention of violence from senior officers, and many more.
