Dead man came alive

Mangalore Today News Network

Udupi Feb 12: In a rare incident that took place at Uppinangadi village of Brahmavara, a dead man came alive, after 40 days, unexpectedly making his family and police confusion.

It is believed that Geofferie from Uppinangadi village had gone missing for nearly 40 days. A few days, after lodging a complaint with police, his family members recovered a body from the bank of River Sita at Mabukala Village. They believed that the body recovered was of Geoffrie. After a tiny investigation, police had handed over the body to his family. The woebegone family also conducted his last rites at the Orthodox Syrian church in Brahmavar.

On Thursday, some people of Uppinangadi saw Geoffrey sitting by the side of a stream at Matpady Gudde, about four kms away from Brahmavar. They took the person directly to home, which made confusion among police and family. Reportedly, Geoffrey’s wife had insisted that the body recovered earlier was not of her husband, but other members of the family had identified it to be of Geoffrey’s.

Now the police fell in a trouble with the mysterious man, whose body was found on the bank of River Sita.
