Committee president G Hanumanth Kamath said in a statement here on Monday that there was no separate quota for Kannur. Instead there was a pooled quota of 255 berths and 151 tathkal berths in the train. These berths could be booked by anyone from any station to any destination along the route of the train on first come, first served basis. This had been clarified by the jurisdictional chief reservation supervisor. One more coach might be added to this train by April, he said.

Tatkal ticket was no longer issued from the originating station to the final destination. Thus, passenger from B.C Road, Puttur, Subramanya, Hassan, Mysore and Mandya too could secure Tatkal tickets, he said
