Campaign against CAA, NRC and NPR from today

Mangaluru, Jan 24, 2020:   Welfare Party of India has been carrying out a nationwide campaign ‘Samvidhana Ulisi; Pauratva Rakshisi’ from January 23 to 30.

Addressing the media in Mangaluru on Thursday, Welfare Party of India Mangaluru President Muthalib S M said that the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) is against the principles of Indian Constitution as the CAA encourages discrimination on the basis of religion.

The party opposes the move of the Centre in creating inconvenience to the people in the name of NRC and NPR. “The Welfare Party of India intends to create awareness against CAA, NRC and NPR”, he said.

Muthalib stated that seminars, public meetings, rallies, candle march, human chain, street play and dharna will be held as a part of the campaign.

Welfare Party of India State Secretary Srikanth Salian, Boloor ward committee member Diwakar Rao, and Media Secretary Tafleel U were present in the press meet.
