ACCE (I) to organize Concrete Excellency Award Ceremony

Mangalore, Dec 18: The Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (ACCE) (I) Mangalore Centre in collaboration with Ultra Tech Cement Ltd will organize the ACCE (I) MLA - Ultra Tech Award 09 Concrete Excellence Awards Ceremony in the Urwa Church Centenary Hall on Dec 19, Saturday, at 6:30 p.m. 

At a press meet organized at the Press Club on Dec 18, Friday, Ashok Kumar B of Shilpi Associates said that the award is being conferred with the purpose of bringing talented architects, contractors, and engineers into the lime light. He also said that the purpose of the award is to foster positive competition, top notch quality, and creative thinking among architects, contractors, and engineers, thereby ensuring the construction of innovation and quality structures. 

The award will be conferred on the designer of an outstanding residential villa in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi as well as the designer of an outstanding concrete building in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts. 

Justice Santhosh Hegde of Lokayukta, government of Karnataka, will be the chief guest. Dr. C S Vishwanath, the chairman of the TASK Force on Quality Assurance in Public Construction will speak on the subject “Training and Education--Keys to Quality and Safety in Construction.” SV Patil, head of the marketing zone of Ultra-Tech Cements Ltd Bangalore will present the award. Avinash D Shirode, the national president of ACCE (I) will preside over the programme.
