ABVP demands immediate investigation of student’s murder

Mangalore, Feb 5: The Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishat (ABVP) staged a protest against the failure of the police to find the murderers of Mohak Kumar, a student of Canara Engineering College, in front of the University College, on Feb 5, Friday.

Swamy Maralapura, the divisional secretary of ABVP, said that the dead body of Mohak Kumar was discovered near Kabaka in Puttur near the BSNL office on Feb 3, Wednesday. He alleged that the police have still not succeeded in finding and arresting the murderers.

The protestors urged the immediate arrest of the guilty and warned that they would intensify the protest if the police failed to do so.

Varun Chawla, the state working member; Karthik Sudan, the city branch secretary; Bharat, the convener of All College Students’ Union; and Prem Kumar, the president of Canara Engineering College, also participated in the protest.
