‘Ride for Rotary’ 4th edition to be held today

Mangaluru, Jan 19, 2020: ‘Ride for Rotary,’ a charity event conceived by Rotary District 3181 will be flagged off from The Ocean Pearl Inn on Bejai-Kapikad Road in Mangaluru, on Sunday at 8.30 am.

The fourth edition of the ‘Ride for Rotary’ will have as many as 40 participants from 14 different countries including Germany, Canada, Sweden, Poland and  others congregating in South India.

The Route: The riders will pass through Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The ride will traverse Puttur-Sullia-Madikeri-Mysuru-Wayanad-Ooty-Coimbatore-Munnar-Thekkady-Allepey - before culminating at Kochi.

The proceeds from the event will go to The Rotary Foundation, a charitable organisation that works for social uplift, said Rotary District 3181 Assistant Governor Sumith Rao.

Pulse Polio:  After the Pulse Polio campaign, the Rotary Foundation will take up India Literary Mission, focusing on the literacy of the elderly people, the assistant governor added.
