Mangalore, Feb 13:  A youth identified as Sandeep alias Dhananjaya (27) was stabbed by unidentified assailants at Bastipadpu under Ullal police station limits on Friday, February 12.















The incident took place when Sandeep was on his way home in his motorbike. Unidentified assailants intercepted him and attacked him near Bandikotya. The victim is a fish labourer in Mogaveerapatna.

The victim has been admitted to a private hospital at Tokottu. Ullal police has registered a case.
 

Miscreants attack on students

In a cruel incident that took place at Ullal on Friday 13, two students of Harekala Madarasa and their father  were attacked by some  miscreants engaged in a protest called by the Shri Ram Sene.

The victims of the attack were identified as Barduddin and his children Shahil(9) and Shadiya(11), residents of Harekala.

Reports said they were attacked by assailants near the old Ullal police station while returning from the madrasa.

 

Badruddin has been admitted to a local hospital with severe injuries on head and ear and his children  who have suffered minor injuries are also undergoing treatment in the same hospital.

 

 

Section 144 in Ullal

Ullal police have arrested three persons, in connection with the attack. Ullal Police said that, if the attack on students confirms, police will take necessary action on them. Section 144 has   been imposed in Ullal upto the midnight of February 15 following the several violent incidents reported from the area.

Government bus services on the Mangalore-Kasargod and Mangalore-Puttur route are however plying.

  Security has been stepped up in Ullal following Friday’s incidents.
