Christmas tree in Spain with ornaments worth Rs 107 cr might be world’s most expensive

December 04, 2019:   Christmas and New Year are right around the corner. One of the main things that all people do on Christmas is bring a Christmas trees aka fir tree home and decorate it with ornaments. These precious ornaments have a special place in people’s hearts. Some are even passed down in generations.

 

 

However, this year, the people who will be celebrating their Christmas in the Kempinski Hotel Bahia in Spain will have the view of a one-of-its kind Christmas tress. The Christmas tree in the hotel has been decorated with diamonds, designer jewellery and precious stones, making the tree worth Rs 1,07,33,77,500 (USD 15 million).

 

 

 

The tree is decorated with white, black, pink and red diamonds. Apart from that, upcycled jewellery from high-end brands such as Bulgari, Cartier, Van Clef and Arpels, Chanel, bottles of perfumes, ostrich eggs, 3-D printed chocolate peacocks and feathers have also been used as ornaments on the tree, decorated by Debbie Wingham.

It might be the world’s most expensive Christmas tree.

In 2010, The Emirates Palace hotel in Abu Dhabi won the Guinness World Record for the most expensive Christmas trees. The fir tree that was decorated with necklaces, bracelets and watches was worth a whopping Rs 78,70,42,300 (USD 11 million).
