12-Year-old delivers baby brother, and her raw emotions win the internet

Oct 10, 2017: Sibling love is a truly special thing. It’s a bond that connects for life. But Jacee Dellapena, a 12-year-old from Mississippi, took it to the next level when she helped her mom deliver her brother.

 

“Jacee wanted to attend Zadyn’s birth 18 months ago but we felt she was too young to attend. So this pregnancy her dad and I discussed it and decided it might be a good learning experience for her!” the mom, Dede, said.

Dede told Bored Panda, that she would recommend other people to let their children be a part of the delivery. “If a child has hit puberty and is appropriate age and maturity level to learn about the body and sex Ed, parents should allow him or her to watch in child’s birth”

The girl was present the whole time and was there to motivate and support Dede. “Watching Jacee’s expressions on her face were like no other. Concentrating on her face while I pushed helped me so much!” she said.

The beautiful and raw emotions of the little girl stole the hearts of many people who were fast to congratulate the parents on the new family member and praise Jacee being strong and helping her mom. “Jacee is excited about her new adventures ahead!” Dede told Bored Panda when asked if the young lady is happy about her new found fame.

This story went viral really fast, but Dede does not feel that it changed anything. “It doesn’t change anything. Even if it hadn’t [gone viral], we would still be living as a Christian family we are!”
