Salman Khan gets Y+ security after threat from Bishnoi gang

Mumbai, Nov 1, 2022: Salman Khan’s security cover has been increased from X to Y+. This means that the star will be accompanied by two armed guards at all times. Moreover, two guards will be positioned at his residence around the clock. The Protection branch of the Mumbai police took this decision after Salman Khan received a threat from the Bishnoi gang.

Salman previously had only one armed guard for his security.

It was recently reported that Salman Khan was on the Lawrence Bishnoi gang’s hit list. The report further stated that members of this gang were positioned outside the actor’s farmhouse to carry out the murder. The Protection branch of the Mumbai police has now decided to upgrade Salman Khan’s security cover to Y+. He will be accompanied by two armed guards wherever he goes. Two guards have also been assigned to his residence. A similar cover has also been provided to Amruta Fadnavis, Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis’ wife.

A few months back, the Mumbai police also issued a license for a personal weapon to Salman Khan after he made an application for the same and met the Commissioner of Police, Mumbai, Vivek Phansalkar.

Salman Khan was last seen in GodFather, starring Chiranjeevi, which opened in theatres on October 5. The film is a remake of Mohanlal’s Lucifer. Salman Khan is working on Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, said to be a remake of Veeram. Bhai will be seen alongside Katrina Kaif in Tiger 3, the third part of the Tiger franchise. It is set to open in theatres on Diwali, 2023. Salman also has a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan.
