Will go to Delhi for a ticket from Mangalore LS seat, says Poojari

Bantwa, Jan 20, 2014: Senior Congress leader and former union minister B Janardhan Poojari who is one of the key contenders for a ticket from the Mangalore Lok Sabha constituency, has admitted that there was hectic lobbying for the ticket at Delhi.

Speaking to media men on the sidelines of a Billawa convention here on January 19, Sunday, Poojari said he would be visiting Delhi to discuss the issue.  There was no question of bogging down, I will fight for a LS ticket, Poojari said.

Poojari’s statement has clearly indicated his resentment over the entry of Union Minister Veerappa Moily’s son Harsha Moily in the district and him making his presence felt at the Congress camp, most probably with an eye on the LS ticket.

Meanwhile, in another development, Veerappa Moily has refuted reports that he was lobbying for his son for a LS ticket. It is the party high command which will decide on the candidates, he made it clear.
