Will complain to CM, Speaker against MLAs, says Ivan D’Souza

Mangaluru, Feb 14, 2024: Senior Congress leader and KPCC Vice President Ivan D’Souza has said that a complaint would be made to the Chief Minister and Assembly Speaker seeking disciplinary action against MLAs Vedavyas Kamath and Bharath Shetty for giving statements of communal hatred rather than trying to find an amicable solution to the recent incident at a private school in the city wherein a teacher has been accused of hurting religious sentiments.

Ivan D’Souza who addressed a press meet at the Congress Bhavan at Mallikatte in the city said a demand will also be placed to dismiss the two leaders from their legislatorship.

He also sought filing criminal case against the MLAs for their alleged act and said the MLAs had forgotten their responsibilities and tried tarnish the image of an educational institution having a history of nearly six decades.

Party leaders Ibrahim Kodijal, JR Lobo, P V Mohan, A C Vinayraj, Naveen D’Souza and others were present.
