The sea erosion has also damaged several houses in the area and many more are facing danger. Several coconut trees too have been engulfed by the  sea. Locals complain that  the contractors have not been dumping boulders at all places   resulting in the problem.

It is also alleged that the boulder dumping process has not been scientific. Locals say that initially they were told that boulders will be dumped upto a height of five feet, but that has not been the case.

Latest reports say sea erosion has intensified in a Mogaveerapatna  and the  roofing of the house of Gowri Sudhir ha been ashed away. Luckily, none in the house were harmed.

ZP Chief Satish Kumpala,  local leaders Babu Bangera, Hariappa Salian and others visited the spot.
