Two Wheeler Rally on Sunday in Mangaluru City

Mangaluru, Jan 25, 2015 : Mangaluru City Traffic Police, Transport Department, DK District in collaboration with Center for Health and Development (CHD) will be observing the 26th National Road Safety week in Mangaluru on Sunday 25th January, 2015.

The rally is meant for two wheeler riders and helmet is a compulsion. Pillion riders should also wear a helmet. The rally will begin at 10 am from Nehru Maidan and the route taken will be via Light house, Balmatta, St Agnes, Bunts hostel to lalbaugh. Mangalore City Corporation Commissioner, Ms Hepsiba Rani Korlapati, IAS will flag of the rally as Chief Guest. RJ Errol, 92.7 BIG FM will be the Guest of Honour.

The theme for the road safety week for 2015 is “Road safety is not just a slogan, but it is a way of life.” Center for Health and Development (CHD) has also placed an appeal before the Deputy Commissioner and the Assistant Commissioner of Police, City Traffic Police to enforce seat belt wearing for front sitters in the cars.

Bikes, Scooty, Activa are welcomed. The maximum speed limit should not exceed 40kms/hour during the rally. CHD wishes to extend this invite to all College principals to request their students to participate in this meaningful effort.
