St Gerosa school row : Investigation officer enquires students, complainant

Mangaluru, Feb 21, 2024: IAS officer and Additional Commissioner of the Kalaburagi Division of the Education Department Dr Akash Shanker who has been appointed as the investigation officer by the government in the St Gerosa School row, on Tuesday continued his investigation and gathered  information from the students.

 

The statements of the students were recorded in writing and through video recording. The investigation officer questioned the students on the statements of the teacher in the classroom and documented the same.

VHP District President H K Purushotham who had complained against a teacher of the school for allegedly making offensive statements against a religion, also appeared before the investigation officer as per the notice issued to him. He said has given his statement based on the information provided by the students and parents regarding the teacher.

Akash Shanker has said he would thoroughly review all  statements and then submit his final report to the government.
