Mangalore, April 14: The Customs official at Mangalorte International Airport seize gold weighing 272.900 grams, valued at Rs. 8,02,326/- on Monday, April 14, 2014.
The metal was concealed in the form of foil strips in the carton box, brought as checked in baggage from the possession of a passenger named Mohammed Jabir, aged about 23 years, son of Mohammed Kunhi, residing at Mahinabad House, Thekkil PO, Kasargod, Kerala state.
He had arrived at Mangalore International Airport on April 14, 2014, at 7-45 AM by Jet Airways flight No. 9W531 from Dubai.
The operations were conducted under the supervision of Hemen Gogi, Dy. Commisioner of customs, MIA and his team of officials
