Shafique murder case: Kumble cops arrest two accused

Kasargod, Mar 30, 2014 :  Kumble police who are investigating into the case of murder of BM Shafique  have arrested two persons on March 29, Saturday. The body of Shafique was found buried under a heap of sand near a construction site on March 27, Thursday.

 

Those arrested are Abdul Salam (22) of Kumble Peral and Naushad (22). It is learnt, Salam was arrested in Kundapur while he was planning to leave for Mumbai in his bid to flee to the Gulf. Naushad was arrested from Sullia.

Police are on the lookout for Asir who was also wanted in connection with the murder,

It is learnt, the murder plot was hatched by Abdul Salam who was once earlier kidnapped and assaulted by a gang led by Shafique. Salam nurtured a vengeance against Shafique since then. He worked in a bakery at Cochin. Two days prior to the murder, he had purchased two machetes and kept them in hiding near his residence and had even purchased flight ticket  to flee the nation. He then entrusted to Naushad the task of  executing the murder. The two along with Asir arrived  at Kumble, assaulted  Shafique after summoning him and then buried his body in sand.

Investigations are underway.
