Mangaluru, May 28, 2017: Outgoing Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Chandra Sekhar was given a warm farewell on behalf of various organisations  here on May 27, Saturday. The organisations also  made use of the occasion to profusely thank the Commissioner for his honest  and sincere services during his  one and a half year tenure  in the city.

The thanks giving address lauded the Commissioner for the way in which he effectively handled the Karthik Raj and RTI activist Vinayak Baliga murder case as well as the situation in the city  during the visit of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The representatives of various organisations who took part in the function also  were all praise for the Commissioner for keeping communal and rowdy elements under check.

Prof. Narendra Nayak, eminent rationalist, Muneer Katipalla, State President of  DYFI, Jayanthi B Shetty of Janavadi Mahila Sanghatane, Nithin Kuttar, District President of  SFI, M Devadas, Dalit leader and others were present.

The outgoing Commissioner thanked everyone  for their kind gesture.
