Rai hits back at BJP, says he does not watch blue films like BJP ministers

 Puttur, April 2, 2014:  DK District in-charge Minister and State Minister for Forest and Ecology B Ramanatha Rai   has retorted to the BJP allegations that he sleeps during Assembly sessions.

Speaking during an election campaign meet here on April 1, Tuesday, Rai clarified that he never slept in the Assembly. “ At times, I close my eyes for a few moments after  lunch, but one should not construe that I am sleeping. In fact I have been actively participating in assembly sessions,” Rai said.

 Here it is worth mentioning that the BJP had demanded an apology from Rai for stating that Nalin has not achieved anything big by fully utilising  his  MP Funds. District BJP Chief Pratap Simha had made a mockery of Rai by stating he often slept in the Assembly, while  BJP  National Secretary Ananth Kumar had also urged Rai to apologise.

Rai while issuing his clarification made a mockery of the BJP by stating  he neither slept nor ‘watched blue films’  like the  BJP ministers and MLAs.

Rai also challenged Nalin to give evidences of the developmental projects he has contributed to the district and claimed that despite not being in power, Janardhana Poojary has contributed much to the district.
