Puttur, Mar 11: Mohan Bhagwath, the sarsanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), inaugurated the Prathinidhi Sabha, which was organized on the campus of Vivekananda College on March 11, Friday. A large number of RSS members from all over the country are participating in this event.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Presenting the annual report, Suresh Joshi, the sah karyavaya of RSS, paid tributes to late Kalida Basu, the advocate from West Bengal; Shri Vidyashankar Bharathi; Shankaracharya of Kolhapur Karaveera Peetha; Uttam Mule of Maharashtra; Bhimsen Joshi, the vocalist; Rajeev Dikshit, the retired governor; Mahavir Prasad, the senior Congress member; Karunakaran, the noted Gandhiwadi; Eshwarbhai Patel; and many more for their thoughts and ideals, which bears a striking similarity to RSS ideology.


He said that more than 63,000 people have undergone 7-day training in the Prathamik Shiksha Varga and more than 15,000 have received advanced training. He said that the RSS is conducting 39,908 shakhas in 27,078 villages and cities all over the country. Besides, the RSS is conducting 7,990 weekly milans and has 6,431 sanghas and mandalis, which meet every month.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Providing details of various activities held to encourage youth to become socially sensitive, he said that more than 30 lakh Hindus had come together at the Narmada Kumbhamela, which was held at Mandala in Madhya Pradesh. He said that volunteers from Mahakoshal region had collected rice, grain, and donations from more than 5 lakh families for this Kumbhamela. He also said that nobody had bothered about social, caste, and community differences during this event. He said that the RSS has undertaken a large number of anti terrorism activities, relief activities, and other initiatives.


Voicing his opinion that corruption results from lack of principle and ethics as well as excessive consumerism, he urged social thinkers, economists, and others to consider ways to change the situation. He also spoke of the need to strengthen the Sangh to face the various challenges and apprehensions faced by the people of India.
