Puttur, Jan 15, 2014: Two youngsters who were peddling ganja were trapped by the locals red-handed on January 14, Tuesday  in the town. As many as 20 packets of ganja were seized from them. The two were later handed over to the police.

Those trapped are Taranath from Mareel and Nikhil from Mukrampady. Residents of the area had suspicion since long about the activities of drug peddlers. It is learnt, on Tuesday, a local youth in order to trap the suspected duo, summoned them to a particular spot on the pretext of purchasing ganja. When the two arrived, they were trapped.

Of the two, Taranath was caught in drugs peddling cases in the past too. Puttur Town Police have registered a case.
