Mangaluru, Mar 06, 2024: Prof. P L Dharma from the Department of Political Science of Mangalore University has on March 5, Tuesday taken charge as the new Vice Chancellor of the University. He is the 10th Vice Chancellor of the University.

State Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot issued the order appointing him as the new VC and Prof Dharma took charge from Prof. Jayaraj Amin who was the acting Vice Chancellor after the retirement of the previous VC Prof. P Subrahmanya Yadapadittaya.

Prof. P L Dharma has earlier served as the Registrar (Evaluation) and as Head of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism of the University.
