Though the police cite shortage of personnel as the reason for the inefficient probe into the cases, the neglect of this problem is dangerous, the MLA said and pointed out the serial killer Mohan Kumar case which unravelled the mystery behind the missing and murder cases of 25 young women.
Referring to the rumours of Love Jihad as the reason behind the missing cases, the MLA also pointed out that most of the cases were reported during the tenure of the previous BJP government.
The MLA who also said that 10 fast track courts have been set up for early settlement of cases of crime against women, once again reiterated the need for an in-depth probe into the cases of missing of girls.
