Online campaign to disseminate Kalam peace song launched

Mangaluru, July 27, 2017:  An online campaign aimed at disseminating the peace song of  former president Late A P J Abdul Kalam who was known as the People’s President, was launched at the St Agnes College here on July 27, Thursday. A poster  with Dr Kalam’s photo as well as peace prayer song was handed over to the student leaders of the  college marking the launching of the campaign.

The campaign will be held under the joint aegis of the St Agnes College and Global TV. As part of the campaign, students will download the song from INDIA2020.net and share the same with their friends on WhatsApp and Facebook thus aiming at disseminating  Kalam’s peace message throughout the nation in the next one year period.

Dr C P Habeeb Rehman, Chairman of Unity Health Complex, recalled his meeting with Kalam at Rashtrapathi Bhavan and described him as a great humanitarian apart from a great scientist.

Tejaswini Sharma who has been recognised as the World’s Super Model in south Asia said students should strive towards realising Kalam’s Vision 2020 by  excelling in education as well as other activities.

Dr Anantha Krishna, former chairman of Karnataka Bank,  Miss Myanmar  Pai Foo Mon, Principal, Dr Jeswine Sequiera and others were present. Students also rendered Kalam  peace song on the occasion.
