Nejaru murder case: Accused produced before the court, remanded to 14 days judicial custody

Udupi, Nov 22, 2023: Praveen Arun Chowgule (39) who has been arrested in connection with the shocking murder of four members of a family at Nejaru, was produced before the Principal Civil and JMFC Court by the Udupi Police on November 22, Wednesday. The Court remanded the accused to 14 days of judicial custody.

 

The police who had earlier produced the accused before the court on November 15 had sought 14 days of police custody for further questioning him. The court had then heeding to the request had asked the police to present him before the court on November 28.

Accordingly he was produced before the court amid tight security today. While remanding him to judicial custody, judge Deepa asked the police to produce him before the court again on December 5.

The accused has been shifted to the District Prison at Hiriyadka amid tight security.
