Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao visits acid attack victims

Mangaluru, March 10, 2024: Dinesh Gundu Rao, the District-in-Charge Minister and also the Minister for Health and Family Welfare, visited three acid attack survivors undergoing treatment at AJ Hospital and Research Centre in Mangaluru on Saturday.

Among the three students, two are showing rapid signs of recovery, while the primary victim has sustained severe injuries. "I have instructed officials to ensure that the victims receive all necessary facilities from the health department. The department will cover the cost of their treatment," stated the Minister.

The students’ condition remains stable. The severely injured victim will undergo plastic surgery and other treatments in the coming days. The students are optimistic about their recovery and are responding positively to the treatment, added the Minister.
