Mangaluru, Nov 23, 2023: A man who was staying at a lodge near Bendorewell was burnt to death in a fire in the room where he was staying on November 22, Wednesday night.

The deceased is Yash Raj Suvarna (43). He was staying in the lodge since November 15 and was a resident of an apartment at Bikarnakatte. He is survived by his mother and wife.

The lodge staff noticed smoke from inside his room and had immediately informed the fire service personnel. When the door was opened, he was found dead. The cause of the death and the fire is yet to be ascertained.

Police are investigating the case.
