Mangalore: Moodushedde residents hit hard due to floods

Mangalore, July 20, 2014: Residents of Moodushedde in the outskirts of Mangalore have been hit hard due to floods following heavy rains and also release of water from a nearby dam.

 

Reports state that several fields in the region have been flooded and the extent of loss of crops is yet to be known. Even River Phalguni is flowing above danger mark.

A local resident said paddy and sugarcane crops have been affected and added the residents will request the district administration  to take action against the power company for releasing water resulting in hardships to the residents.
