Mangalore,May 30, 2014 : Four restaurants were issued notices following a surprise raid by a team of MCC officials on May 29, Thursday to check the cleanliness aspect and also the health condition of the hotel workers. The Team led by Health Inspector Dr Manjayya Shetty and Environmental Engineer SM Madhu raided eight restaurants in all.
The hotels which were served notices were Indra Bhavan, Hotel Shuchi and Hotel Ruchi. The SCS Hospital Canteen authorities were askd to close the open areas with net and to tile the floor which was in a bad state. The team found that the kitchen of Indra Bhavan was untidy.
Other hotels raided included Hotel New Swagath, Hao Hao, Hotel Shivabagh and Dolphin Bar and Restaurant which were found to have adhered to the cleanliness norms.
The hotels that have been served notices were directed to meet the cleanliness guidelines laid down by the MCC within a week.
Others in the raiding team were Yashwanth and Karunaker.
