Udupi, July 6, 2014: The Information Centre of Mangalore University was inaugurated at the Tenkanidiyoor First Grade College on July 5, Saturday by Udupi District in-charge Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said a Science Centre will be established in the district at a cost of Rs 80 crores. The land for the same would be identified at Belapu, he informed. He also spoke on the plans to have three new ITI colleges and added permission has already been sanctioned to start a police training college and a medical college.
Prof. P.S. Yedapadittaya, Registrar of Mangalore University, said the Information Centre will help students to avail marks card and submit application forms, fees etc.
The function was presided over by Udupi MLA Pramod Madhwaraj. K Bhyrappa, Vice Chancellor of Mangalore University, Meena Lorino Pinto, President of Tenkanidiyoor Gram Panchayat, G Yogananda, Principal of Tenkanidiyoor College, Dr Duggappa Kajekar, PRO, Dr Gananath Ekkar and others were present.
