Local Flyover Surveyed for Proper Working by DC and Minister

Mangalore, May 24, 2014: DK DC A B Ibrahim on Friday inspected Bikarnakatte Kaikamba and B C Road Flyovers on Friday, reports state. He was accompanied by NHAI project director Sriram Mishra, SP Sharanappa, MCC Commissioner Ajith Kumar Hegde, among other officials.

B C Road flyover the DC said needs to introduce two way traffic flow to be effective. The Bikarnakatte flyover, service road below the flyover leading to Moodbidri is quite narrow. He directed the NHAI officials to look into the possibility of widening the service road after acquiring land or allowing the vehicles to suitably move on the flyover and introduce other measures.

In a separate action, Minister for Health and Family Welfare U T Khader inspected works on flyover at Thokkottu and directed the officials to ensure that no inconvenience is caused to the general public. The officials from NHAI, police and the Ullal TMC should work in tandem and due consideration given till the works are all completed early.
