Mangalore Today News Network

Mangalore, Jan 15, 2014:  The only option to cope with an Alzheimer’s patient in a family is to accept them as they are and keep them  completely engaged  both mentally and physically, said  Richard Shreder, an Alzheimer’s Specialist from Seattle, USA.

He was addressing a meeting of like-minded people convened at YMCA Balmatta on January 14, Tuesday by Spandana Charitable Trust, in order to create awareness in the society on the problems of Alzheimer’s patients. Shreder further said that the behaviour of Alzheimer’s patients can be changed by understanding them and accepting them as they are. The family members of an Alzheimer’s patient should be more understanding, he further added.
