Kundapur : Students take to streets demanding arrest of Ratna Kottari killers

Kundapur, July 14, 2014: Students of various colleges boycotted classes on July 14, Monday and staged a protest here demanding a thorough investigation into the case of suspicious death of Ratna Kottari (17), a student of Shiroor Government college. They have urged the Police Department to arrest the girl’s killers at the earliest. The protest was organised by the ABVP and the SFI. Students also took out a protest march in the town.
The protestors handed over a memorandum to the State Home Minister through the Tahsildar highlighting their demands.Ratna Kottari was found dead in a forest area at Alandur near Byndoor on July 12, Saturday.
Students from Dr BB Hegde College, Bhandarkar’s College participated in the protest. Gururaj Desai, SFI State Secretary and others addressed the agitating students.
