Mangalore, April 29, 2013: SP Changappa, JD(S) candidate from Mangalore South has said that JD(S) would emerge a winner with a clear majority this time and that HD Kumaraswamy would be the next chief minister of the state.
He was addressing press persons after inaugurating a unique publicity campaign of the JD(S) through walker, at the party’s election office here on April 28, Sunday. Changappa further said Kumaraswamy was instrumental in organizing several developmental programmes in the state during his chief ministership of the state . He also referred to the village stay programme initiated by the former chief minister in order to enable him to gather a firsthand account of the problems of the masses.
He further said Kumaraswamy during his chief ministerhip by implementing the Suvarna Grama Scheme, has provided a ray of hope for the poor. Yogish Bhat who has been MLA four times has failed to achieve anything, Changappa said and added the sitting MLA who often spoke about Mangala Corniche and many more mega projects, however failed to materialze any of the projects.
He said the JD(S) teams have already met as many as one lakh voters as part of its election campaigning. He also met lawyers’ fraternity and sought their support.
