Mangalore, Mar 11, 2014 : “The recent clashes at Kalladka during a  Congress Samarasya Samavesh is a  clear-cut pre-planned attack. Or else how  could one see so many soda bottles and stones hurled  no sooner a speaker made some comments?,” questioned Vijaykumar Shetty, former Suratkal MLA.

Speaking at a meeting of the Suratkal Block Congress office on March 11, Tuesday, Shetty said the Congress will not allow any force to  disturb peace and harmony in the district and thereby taint its image.

Shetty also  hit out at Kalladka Prabhaker Bhat  and alleged several attempts have been made in the past too under his leadership to disturb peace and harmony. Likening the attitude of Bhat to that  of Hitler, Shetty said such things will not be tolerated.

Also criticising the police department for failing to tackle the situation effectively, Shetty demanded a free and fair investigation into the case and  stern action against all those responsible for the clashes.

Mangalore North MLA Moidin Bava,  Corporator Purushottam Chitrapur, Sadananda Amin, Mohammadali and others were present.
