Gold worth Rs 8.78 lakh found under seat of aircraft

Mangalore, Mar 5, 2014 : Gold worth Rs 8.78 lakh which was found under a seat of a Jet Airways aircraft which arrived from Dubai was seized by customs officials at the Mangalore International Airport on March 3, Sunday.
The gold weighed 283.26 grams.
The flight had arrived at around 5.20 am. It is not yet known as to whom the gold belonged to as no one has claimed its ownership.
Investigations are underway.
