Gangadhar Murder Case - protests for Immediate Arrest of Satish Baikampady

Mangalore, June 06, 2014:  The Mogaveer Community staged a protest demanding arrest of the main accused in Gangadhar Pangal’s murder case, before the DC’s office June 6.  The protestors proceeded in a long procession from Ambedkar Circle, Jyothi to the DC office.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It may be recalled Gangadhar Pangal was killed in a road accident as he returned home after attending a Nemotsava at Surathkal, May 15. Ganghadar was on his two wheeler when a Bolero hit his vehicle. The police filed an accident report, but the scene of the crash created doubts. Further investigations revealed it to be a planned murder. Police later arrested Harish Baikampady, Pusparaj and Baskar Baikampady but failed to arrest the main accused in the murder - Satish Baikampady

The Mogaveer community now demanded immediate arrest of Satish Baikampady who is the main character in the Gangadhar murder case. Misunderstanding between Mogaveera Mahasabha and Urva Mariyamma temple committee administrative membership led to the murder of Gangadhar as Satish had shown special interest for the membership of Mariyamma temple committee.
