Fire service personnel rescue man who was inside unused well for 3 days

Mangalore, July 7, 2014 :  The fire service personnel from Kadri have on July 6, Sunday rescued a man who  had fallen into an unused well  near the Jogi Mutt close by Kadri Park and remained there for almost three days.

 

The rescued person is Praveen D’Silva (32), a resident of near Balmatta Shanti Nilaya. Some people who passed that way on noticing him inside the well, had informed the fire service department. They along with the Disaster Management unit rushed to the spot. One Nagaraj Poojari entered the  well and tied a rope around Praveen and he was later lifted from the well.

It is however not yet known as to how Praveen fell into the 30 feet deep well which was algae-ridden. Praveen told the fire service men that he was inside it for three days. He has been admitted to Wenlock Hospital for treatment.
