 Mangalore, June 23, 2014: A press release stated, Customs officers at MIA- Mangalore International Airport,  seized 1,200 Indian currency notes with a face value of Rs 500, totally valued at Rs six lakh possessed illegally by a passenger.

Passenger Abdul Salam Badoor Mohammed, a resident of Chattanchal in Kasargod district of Kerala had concealed the currencies inside the walls of a cardboard box which was carried as checked-in baggage.


He had reported for departure from Mangalore International Airport to Sharjha. UAE.
