Mangalore, Jan 14, 2014: Muslim brethren across the city are celebrating Eid Milad or Milad-Un-Nabi with religious fervour. Eid Milad processions were also taken out in Kudroli and Bunder areas. Several members of the community including women and children too took part in the procession holding colourful flags and banners. Dafli and Music bands were also part of the procession.
Eid-Milad falls on the third month of Islamic calendar and marks the birth as well as death anniversary of Prophet Mohammad.
The day is marked by various programmes including religious meets and religious discourses in mosques.
