Ashraff to join congress

Sources says Ashraf has placed forth certain demands to join the JD(S), one being  that he should be fielded as the party candidate from Mangaluru South Constituency.  He is all likely to join the JD(S) if his demands are heeded.

Speaking to a media, Ashraf has stated that he was pained by the attitude of a few Congress leaders in the recent past.  He alleged that those who have been serving the party since long are being sidelined while  newcomers are getting more priority.

As Ashraf has a significant following in the Congress and  he being the President of  Federation of Muslim Organisations his defection to the JD(S) is likely to have  some impact on  the Congress.
