BJP releases manifesto; promises intl. stadium for city, more jobs for youth

 Mangalore, Apr 5, 2014: The Bharatiya Janatha party has released its manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections at the Election office of the Party in the city on April 5, Saturday.

 

 

 

Speaking to the media on the occasion, Capt. Ganesh Karnik, MLC said  the manifesto highlights the developmental projects the party proposes for the region if elected to power.

Alleging that the economy of the nation has taken a severe beating during the past ten years of UPA rule in the nation,  he said the BJP election manifesto has been drafted in the best interests of the district and to  work for the welfare of the people as well as the women in the region.

He said the manifesto promises solution to CRZ related problems and that the party also assures  to deal with the cases of crime against women with a firm hand. The party will also lay emphasis on creating more jobs, Karnik said adding more train services would be introduced from the region. The BJP manifesto further promises a permanent solution to the problem of sea erosion. The BJP has  also assured a full-fledged pass port office in Mangalore. The manifesto even assures 24 hour electricity to farmers  as also solution to the problems of arecanut, coconut and rubber growers.Another promise is  to set up an international stadium in Mangalore.

Capt Karnik  assured that the  party will keep up its promises to the electorate if elected to power.

Party leaders including Rajani Dugganna, former mayor, Yogish Bhat, Kumble Sunder Rao, former MLAs, Jayaram Shetty, Sudhir Ghate and others were present.
