BJP is a one-man show : Former union minister CM Ibrahim

Mangalore, April 10, 2014 : The BJP has today become a one-man show and was standing on the support of a single man, said former union minister CM Ibrahim.

Speaking at an election campaign meeting in favour of Congress candidate for DK constituency B Janardhana Poojary at Kasaba Bengre on April 9, Wednesday, he charged the BJP of resorting to divisive politics. Coming down heavily on the much publicised ‘Gujarat model of development’ by the BJP, Ibrahim said Gujarat was lagging behind in industrial development compared to Karnataka which stands second.

The BJP is looking down upon its senior leaders like Advani, Murali Manohar Joshi and Jaswanth Singh who toiled for the party, Ibrahim said and even ridiculed the BJP for its Har Har Modi chantings.

Criticising the erstwhile state government led by Yeddyurappa, the former union minister said the Yeddyurappa regime’s achievements in five years does not match those of the Congress chief minister Siddaramaiah in just 11 months.

KP Nanjundi, KPCC Secretary while seeking support for the Congress candidate said his victory will ensure the development of the constituency.
